Cookies

Provyn sets two cookies. One keeps you signed in. The other stops someone hijacking the moment you connect a Google account. That is all.
There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party script on this site. Nothing here follows you to another website, and nothing is sold or shared with an advertiser.
What is actually stored
| Cookie | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in between page loads. Set by Supabase, the service that handles our sign-in. Without it you would log in again on every click. | Until you sign out, or it expires |
| g_oauth_state | Set only while you are connecting a Google account, and checked when Google sends you back. It is what stops someone else finishing that connection on your behalf. | Ten minutes |
Why there is no cookie banner
A cookie that is strictly necessary to deliver something you asked for, like staying signed in, does not need your permission. It needs to be disclosed, which is what this page is for. A banner asking you to accept tracking we do not do would imply we do it, and would train you to click through a question that mattered somewhere else.
If that ever changes, this page changes first and a real choice appears with it. We have a check in our build that fails if analytics is added without updating this page.
Turning them off
Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site. Doing so will sign you out and keep you signed out, because that cookie is how signing in works.
